Celtic Prayer Garden

The Celtic Prayer Garden at The Island Of Saints And Scholars (IOSAS) Centre invites the pilgrim to reflect on the characteristics of Celtic spirituality in a spirit of prayer and reverence for the past, and respect for the environment in the present.

The Garden is a “thin place” – a point where the Celts believed heaven and earth met. It is hoped that the pilgrim to the Prayer Garden will, through quiet, personal prayer and reflection experience the same. A visit to the garden is a perfect complement to a retreat at St Anthony’s.
